I was first exposed to the term 'intranet' in 1995. The firm I was with at the time was very much an "in house" operation; it seemed like everything vital to our operation was developed by the owner. Our billing system was a homebrewed system build off DataEase. Our internal e-mail system was likewise built off DataEase. Our tech tickets, still paper back then, were straight printed from an early 1980s era dot matrix printer and you guessed it, they were homebrewed.

A question came up after our Internet Marketing Overview webinar. The question was essentially, “What impact has the current economic downturn had on Pay per Click advertising?” We have not really looked into the big picture trends but what we see is some real opportunity for our clients. Generally it looks like our campaigns are getting better positioning for the same budget. Our response to that has been to get more aggressive whereever we can. We are gradually expanding budgets while monitoring conversions to make certain that increased spending equates to increased returns and not just more traffic. So far the results have been very promising. Stay tuned!

We have a mail and print campaign that promotes the link to www.Affinigent.com/CRM. That page specifically presents the benefits of Microsoft Dynamics CRM with a video and links to some valuable PDF files.

I have come to a better understanding recently about how crucial IT is to many businesses and the extent to which this is a source of consternation for business owners and leaders! It feels like a sort of a love hate relationship for many people, especially in organizations that are experiencing significant change. One of my goals in business and in this blog is to try make it a little easier for business leaders to understand IT so they can make better business decisions.
